Washing instructions:

Always check the care instructions printed inside your Matter of Spirit garment. We’ve found the following tips can extend the life of your garment and cut down on environmental impact.

 

100% Cotton - Fully printed T-Shirts

You should wash them at a maximum of 30 degrees with similar colours and make sure you don’t use bleach. *We recommend you turn the items inside out to help the print last longer. The same rule applies for ironing as well.

 

Other tips:

Hang Dry

It requires a little more patience, but hang drying is kinder to your garment and saves energy over time.

Similar Colours + Fabrics

Always wash garments in similar colour families. Wash similar fabrics together, too!

Friendly Detergent

Try a non-toxic, biodegradable detergent — it’s healthier for you, your garments, and the environment.

Avoid Softeners

Fabric softeners and dryer sheets release waxy agents to create a softer hand feel. This coating can reduce longevity of your item.

Pro Tip: Natural Steam

High heat and fully-printed materials aren’t compatible. If your garment is wrinkled, try this: hang your garment in the bathroom while you shower and allow the steam to naturally smooth your garment.
